In November 2025, Diaconia Global Services for Human Development hosted a turkey giveaway during the soft launch of our community food pantry at 213 E 144th St., Bronx, New York.

During the event, 65 turkeys and grocery bags filled with essential food items were distributed to families in the community to help them prepare for the Thanksgiving season.

This effort was made possible through the generous support of Walmart and Deeper Life Community Outreach, which donated the space to help make the pantry possible. The event marked the beginning of our mission to serve and support families in the Bronx with dignity and care.
