DGS was proud to attend the 9/11 Freedom Fest in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 14, 2024, to support the brave men and women who protect our freedom daily. Our presence at this significant event was to honor the sacrifices made by veterans, soldiers, and first responders and help create awareness of Helping Heroes, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans in need.
The 9/11 Freedom Fest attracted over 1,000 attendees, demonstrating the community's commitment to honoring those who have served. The event featured a motorcycle and jeep ride through Indianapolis, fully escorted by the IMPD motorcycle unit. Diaconia Global Services participated in the Freedom Ride, joining hundreds of riders who came together to support and honor those who protect our freedom.
In addition to the ride, the festival included a vendor fair, live music, food trucks, and a resource fair providing information for veterans and their families. Diaconia Global Services seized this opportunity to engage with attendees and other organizations, fostering connections that can lead to collaborative efforts in supporting veterans. By raising awareness about Helping Heroes and their mission, we aimed to strengthen community ties and promote ongoing assistance for those who have served.
